Recently, I have some time to walk around all four blocks in Danau Permai. I must admit, I am pretty impress with the current management committee in terms of cleaniness and landscaping. The repainting certainly improve the prestige of the condominium. Keep up the good work.

When will the repainting work commence actually?... The algae-infested wall in each block cause much losses to our condos value. Exterior counts!

Will there be an upgrade of the car park space for Danau? I am aware of the ballot system that happens in year end. In the previous years, are the allocated spaces enough for all who ballots? Do we need 16 visitors car park? Can it be reduced to 10? Can any of the owners please share their thoughts?

I think there can still be improvements made to increase the number of parking space. For example, I see a brown Morris (if not mistaken) parked new the visitor's car park, in front of Block 12 for the longest time. The car is rusty, all tires flat and covered in dust. Clearly this is car is left abandoned and due to the junkyard. It doesn't deserve wasting a good parking space. Moreover, it is such an eyesore to our beloved condo and I pity the car that is parked next to it with the risk of rust spreading to it.

Management and Building Manager, if you are reading this, hope you can investigate and inform the owner.

Earlier today (10 July 2009) I encountered some problems on the application of visitors’ parking with the management. I am made to understand that there is a requirement of not more than 2 nights per unit is allowed for visitors’ parking. I understand that such requirement is necessary to prevent abuse of our limited parking space and appreciate the management’s efforts in addressing the problem.

Previously, I have also applied for the annual rental for available parking lots for balloting. I have not received any replies (including written results of my application) despite my written applications submitted to the management. As such, I presume my application is not successful.

Notwithstanding that, the problem that I encountered is that once in every few months, I expect a certain visitor to stay overnight for 2 to 3 nights consecutive. As such, on such odd occasion whereby a third night is required, there will be no overnight parking for the third (3rd) night allowed. As a result, the only option I have will be to tell my visitor to park his car outside the condominium along the main road, which is unsafe considering I have experienced broken lock for my Malaysian-made car before from parking on the main road, not to mention the continental cars that my visitor typically drives. I believe it is also our intention as a community to be visitor friendly.

As such, may I propose in order to address such problem for the management to assess such applications on a case-by-case basis, as opposed to a blanket restriction on 2 over nights parking, as I believe there are many genuine applications which are not out to abuse the system. Alternatively, instead of a blanket restriction, extended overnight parking more than twice in the same week can be charged at a rate, say RM20 so as to curb abuse.

Hi,

Making the right choice with no regrets.

Well I will be a new addition to this lovely condominium tug at the top of Taman Desa called Danau Permai.

To my surprise as I was waiting for the lift I am amused that the committee and the management is in the midst of upgrading the already presentable lobby.

I over heard that the cost for the tasteful new hotel environment deco is done with reasonable minimum cost. Well if it is please enlighten me as to the cost and not forgetting the contractor that is doing the job as he may be of help to me in not over taxing my little wallet if I need to do up the unit.

My sincere hats off to the committee for a well design lift lobby but I hope the management can get the job done faster as it is quite inconvenient to move around.

Keep up the good work.

Thank you.

I would also like to stress the importance of repainting. On first impressions it really does put people off. I think the new entrance areas look really impressive - however, I do feel the paint job should be top priority.
Can I also suggest that something be done about all the horrible satellite dishes. Would it be possible to put one master satellite dish on the roof then run cables down the outside of the building (in the corner by the balconies)? Once this work has been completed the old ones could be removed. This must make the new paint job easier and could, possibly, be done at the same time to reduce costs (for scaffolding etc...). Look across at One Dessa- It doesn’t look as if Astro has sponsored that condo!
I also think the management should be stricter on people making non-standard changes to the outside of the building. I notice that there are lots of badly positioned air con units and people are starting to change patio doors etc.. One or two doesn’t look too bad but when everyone does it, it looks really messy and depreciates value of the whole site.
I see plenty of nice condos in Malaysia which must have seriously dropped in value because on-one has kept up with maintenance. Keep up the good work management – if the new entrance hall is set to be the standard that DP is aiming for then I might just buy a place!

After going around the sites of the ongoing project. Let me provide a litte comments.

1) Link bridge....Good ideas but poor executions. Look at Block 6 and 8. the joinining of the old and new. it is far from seamless. You see a huge gutter where the old joint the new. This is totally unacceptable.
2) Pebbles on the pillars..Some of the jobs are done in a hurry..Cuci batu pun tak kau kau sikit. Some of the pebbles are not laid to the bottom . Amazingly poor or curi ayam workmanship.
3) Block 6 . a comptemporary design met with old balinese terracota...what a miss match all together. Should fire the designers.

Aluminium doors and jam are just too filsmsee esp. it is installed with a magnetic lock. The handle will most probably last for 2 weeks....The floor tiles are el-cheapo Jiangiang ceramic. (Better Niro used in Block 8). The choice of non-slippery floor title are aweful. It looks dirty all the time.
The choice of the cabinet..another horrible color and poor quality finishing. The choice od downlight...Another el-cheapo.

I believe the old lobby still nicer than the new.
